Plan your mushroom growing room: stands & shelves, compost, yield per flush, cooling, ROI and an automatic MashFarm equipment BOQ.
The MashFarm calculator helps white button mushroom (Agaricus bisporus) growers plan a cultivation room before building it. Enter the room dimensions and clearances to see how many stands and shelves fit, the fruiting area, the compost and casing soil needed, and the expected yield split across four flushes. It also estimates fresh-air and cooling requirements, power consumption, construction cost, gross profit and return on investment, then builds a printable quotation (BOQ) for the MashFarm automation system.
Stands run along the room length. The calculator fits as many stands as possible across the room width, keeping the minimum wall clearance on both sides and the stand-to-stand aisle between them. Stand length is the room length minus the door and rear clearances, and the number of shelves comes from the floor clearance, stacking clearance and maximum top level height.
Compost is estimated at about 100 kg per m² of fruiting area, and total yield at about 30% of the compost weight, split over four flushes: 50%, 25%, 20% and 5%. The daily average spreads the yield over a 60-day cycle.
A per-room bill of quantities for the MashFarm system: main controller (MCU), humidifier, ventilation and AC controllers, plus ultrasonic humidifier machines (1 per 250 m³ of room volume) and CO₂ and humidity/temperature (SHT) sensors (1 each per 75 m³). An irrigation controller and soil sensors are optional. You can adjust quantities and print it or save it as a PDF.
No. Construction costs and ROI are planning estimates based on assumptions you can edit. Prices vary by supplier and country, so get real quotes before investing.
